Job Summary

An Occupational Therapist (OT) helps individuals of all ages develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. The therapist assesses clients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs and creates personalized treatment plans to promote independence, well-being, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Assess patients' physical, mental, and emotional abilities and challenges.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.

Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living, work, and leisure skills.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and adaptive techniques.

Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with clinical standards.

Support patients in achieving greater independence and participation in meaningful activities.

Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, and health and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.

Valid professional registration/licensure as required by the relevant regulatory body.

Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, assessment tools, and treatment techniques.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
